Pep Guardiola has informed his Manchester City players that the Premier League title race is not over despite the champions’ crucial win against leaders Arsenal.
Manchester City crushed Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday to move within two points of the Gunners with two games in hand.
If Manchester City win at Fulham on Sunday, they will knock Arsenal out of pole position.
But despite City’s firm grip on the destiny of the title, Guardiola has no intention of letting his stars rest on their laurels.
While speaking to reporters on Friday Pep Guardiola said. “People start to say they have the feeling it’s over, but it’s not over. It will be over when it’s over, and it’s not over.”
“We still have seven games. Every single game we play for special things, for our opponents and ourselves. We have to do our game.”
Meanwhile, Manchester City must win six of their last seven league games to be sure of a fifth title in six seasons, leaving them with little margin for error.
