Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Lagos West); Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, former Chief Staff to governor Abiodun Shuaib Salisu, on Tuesday led a solidarity walk for the victory of presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shetimma, as well as Abiodun’s re-election bid, in the 2023 general elections.
The walk, comprising party faithful from the 20 local government areas, transport unions, as well as interest and support groups, started from the MKO Abiola stadium in Kuto, through Isabo, Nawarudeen, Ijaye, Abiola way before terminating at the NNPC junction on IBB Boulevard, Magbon.
The crowd chanted solidarity songs for the APC, Tinubu, Abiodun and other party candidates.
He said the walk and support attests to the fact that Tinubu remained the people’s choice. He was confident Tinubu’s election was a done deal.
“This massive crowd is a sign to scare any opposition. The walk was planned just yesterday and it is intimidating. It is a show of love that you support Tinubu and Abiodun’s election victory in 2023.
“We are still going to hold a rally at the stadium and by February we cast our votes for all APC candidates.” he said
