PDP Governorship Candidate in Lagos State has expressed confidence to take over power from the incumbent Governor come 2023

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor has expressed confidence to take over the reins of power from the incumbent, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2023, saying the present administration has failed to meet up with aspirations of the people of Lagos State.

He stressed that for things to really work in Lagos, there is the need to have a truly independent helmsman which he represents. 

Jandor, at a media briefing with newsmen on the official unveiling of his manifesto and campaign plans in Ikeja, at the weekend, with Olasunkanmi Akoni in attendance, speaks on the crisis rocking the national party of PDP, occasioned by Presidential Candidate, Abubakar Atiku and Governor Neysome Wike of Rivers State, and his alleged frosty relationship with the National leader of the party, Bode George, his plans to take over Lagos, among others. 

Statement in parts "We are kicking off our political campaign across 245 political wards of the state on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from Alimosho Local Government Area. And for things to really work in Lagos, we need a truly independent helmsman. We are ready to take over governance of Lagos State through fair and successful democratic process that will be impactful on the lives of the downtrodden in various communities of the state.

"Our administration will evolve quality services in all sector of the economy to bring out successful outings, especially free and compulsory education services to pupils at primary and secondary school levels. Issues affecting health sector in the state will be duly addressed, among others.

"The journey started over seven years ago, we have remained focused and steadfast in our quest to emancipate the people of Lagos from shackles of oppression by a group of cabal in the state," he said.
