Anambra governoship candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party, Valentine Ozigbo, casted his vote 11 am on Saturday.
Due to hiccups with accreditation equipment in the polling unit, it took at least 20 minutes for the the candidate to be able to cast his vote.
Valentine Ozigbo while dressing the media said, "I'm actually impressed that Amaesi community are out in their numbers, they came back from different parts of Nigeria to get to where they are registered to execute their franchise.
"I was hoping that I will come and just do the accreditation and go straight to voting. But it got to a point that network actually failed, we had to improvise, if we couldn't find that solution I wonder what could have happened.
"So imagine those in the locations where there may be even poor network, we need to make sure we recognize those peculiarities.
"What that means is we need to extend voting time so that we don't allow people Who are eligible not to cast their votes, it will be unfortunate.
"So I'm not only commenting on the situation, I'm appealing to INEC and all the stakeholders to exercise patience and ensure that the right people who have all their identification are cast their votes. Cause that's the only way we can truly ensure that this election will be by the people, by the greater majority."
